All Inclusive Resorts Offer Holiday Fun

Holiday image on the beachSpending a holiday in an all inclusive resort doesn’t mean you have to miss the typical holiday festivities. Several resorts offer a variety of celebrations during Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years to help guests celebrate the holidays. If you are looking to get away from home to a tropical paradise, here are just a few of the resorts we know that are offering some extra-special holiday fun.

Dreams Resorts and Spas
At Dreams Resorts and Spas, you can enjoy a host of Thanksgiving festivities, and it’s part of the package! Start your day by watching the telecast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Football fans can root for their favorite teams during the games that will be broadcast throughout the day. If you have children, they can participate in turkey calling, arts and crafts, and history lessons with “the Pilgrims.” Then get ready for the feast of all Thanksgiving feasts. Talented resort chefs present a world-class dinner with all the trimmings. And it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without cranberries and pumpkin pie. Recover the next day by the pool or beach, or get back into the swing of things with any of the resort’s activities.

During Christmas, get into the spirit when you step into the decorated resort for Christmas in the Tropics. Enjoy the sounds of the season with music, and keep an eye out for the arrival of Santa Claus. Enjoy the nightly entertainment after a complete Christmas dinner and buffet.

Guests staying at a Dreams Resorts and Spas on December 31st can help ring in the New Year tropical style. A gourmet buffet and dining and dancing until dawn make it a great way to end the year. The children’s campout keeps the youngest guests safe and busy while parents count down to midnight. The next morning, guests can enjoy a New Year’s brunch to start the year off right followed by the Rose Bowl and the parade, the Sugar Bowl, and the Cotton Bowl on big screens with full tailgate buffets.

Azul Beach Resort
Azul Beach Resort in the Mayan Riviera has a variety of Christmas activities planned, starting on Christmas Eve. Compete with your family on the beach in the Christmas Olympic Games. Send a letter to Santa via balloon for all your Christmas wishes. Enjoy a Mexican Posada, which is a re-enactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for lodging in Bethlehem.  Try your hand at downing a piñata. An evening Christmas show will feature Santa, the elves, the Grinch, and more. On Christmas Day, enjoy a Gourmet Inclusive a la carte menu in all the resort’s restaurants. For New Year’s Eve, enjoy a special dinner in one of the resort’s restaurants. Celebrate the New Year in the Aquinox Bar while Europe rings in the New Year. Children can also get in on the celebration by participating in the Kid’s Show. A tropical New Year’s Show and live music continue the festivities, followed by a final countdown and a Mariachi band.

El Dorado Maroma
If you are headed to the Mayan Riviera’s El Dorado Maroma this holiday season, enjoy the sounds of Christmas songs on December 24 by the group Soprano. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus as he makes his way to this luxurious beachfront resort. And keeping with the sounds of the season at a Mexican resort, Marimba music is planned for lunch on December 24, December 25, and January 1. While every evening at El Dorado Maroma features live music or an exciting show, you can dance away the night on New Year’s Eve to a live Mariachi band.

El Dorado Royale
The holiday menus at El Dorado Royale are enough to make anyone’s mouth water in anticipation. For a Christmas Eve dinner, enjoy quail, a crab cake, and a choice of grilled turkey tournedos and baked lobster or sea bass filet; or opt for the vegetarian option of Portobello risotto and burgundy mini vegetables in a saffron broth. Then start Christmas day off with a breakfast cocktail, bread, fruit, Virginia ham, smoked fish, eggs Benedictines and an assortment of sweets. Or opt for the Christmas Day brunch for a selection of cold and hot foods and pastries. Delight in a fondue dinner on Christmas, and enjoy a chilli crab cake with a choice of fine slices of turkey fillet or an Alaskan Christmas Warm Pot of seafood, shrimp, leek and onions bouillon, followed with a chocolate chestnut fondue for dessert. Or visit Cocotal, La Isla, Jojos, Fuentes, and Italia for a menu featuring smoked cinnamon apple duckling, shrimp and lobster cappuccino, turkey with apple apricot stuffing and a sweet potato, or choose fresh salmon and a squash casserole. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day meals promise to not disappoint either and offer additional rounds of top cuisine to guests.

El Dorado Seaside Suites
At the adults-only El Dorado Seaside Suites in the Mayan Riviera of Mexico, guests can enjoy special Christmas and New Year’s Eve menus in every themed restaurant, in addition to the regular menu. Each dining venue boasts its own personality and treats patrons to elegant settings, ocean view tables and romantic atmospheres. Also, the resort will offer special candle-lit dinners on the beach on Christmas evening and on New Year’s Eve. The New Year’s Eve Entertainment program will include a beach party with shows, live music, and a midnight toast.
